The world is already improving in lots of ways. Many countries are just starting to reduce the amount of pollution they are making, and although we need to do much more we are making a good start.

Climate change is a tricky problem to solve, and with most tricky problems it’s easiest to solve them when you work together. There are some clever people who can think of great ideas by themselves, but people can usually do more in a team. There are lots of teams that any engineer can join if they want to work on a project to make things a bit better in the world, like “Engineers without Borders”:

I’m a super optimistic person, so I have always held out hope that we can fix all the problems we have gotten caught up in, and thankfully there are a lot of people trying to work on the issues!

My biggest contribution to try to fight climate change is choosing to work on fusion, but there are definitely a lot of other things that need to go on in addition to that!
