      On paper an engineer is someone who did an engineering degree or apprenticeship…

      However the sort of person who becomes an engineer is someone who really likes solving problems and designing or inventing things to make a difference!

      There are lots of different types of engineer working to solve lots of different types of problems, most of the things around you have probably had an engineer involved at some point or other. 🙂

      An engineer is someone that solves problems.

      What kind of problems they solve depends on the type of engineer! Generally they use creativity, science, maths and technology to find solutions. Engineers usually work in teams, especially on really big and difficult problems like how to make a fusion reactor.
